We're a plasma donation center located right in the heart of Flatbush. You'll find us on the second floor, right across the street from Target. We're open from 6 am to 2 pm every day except Friday and Saturday, and our team is always ready to welcome you.

How it works
Our plasma donation process uses the highest safety standards in a sterile environment and a cutting edge automated system for faster donation times.

When you arrive
You'll be greeted by a receptionist who will review your documentation. If it's your first visit you'll be given a brief physical. You'll be asked to fill out a Donor History Questionnaire, and a center technician will take a small blood sample from your finger to check your protein and hematocrit levels.

Your donation
If you're eligible to donate, you will be taken to the donation area and seated in a comfortable reclining chair/bed. Blood will be drawn, plasma will be separated from your blood, and red blood cells will be returned to your body through a process called plasmapheresis. Fear not, the process strictly follows FDA guidelines and is totally safe.

You're all set!
And you're done! The whole process for a first-time donation is less than two hours, and subsequent visits are around 90 minutes. Your Olgam Life paycard will quickly reflect the added payment amount for your donation. Be sure that you drink plenty of fluids, eat a healthy meal and refrain from strenuous activities for the remainder of the day.

Generally, plasma donors must be 18 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds (50kg). All individuals must pass a medical examination, a medical history screening, and testing for transmissible viruses before their donated plasma can be used to manufacture plasma protein therapies.
You must have a pre-donation physical which includes answering medical history questions, tests for viruses such as HIV and hepatitis, and evaluating your protein and hematocrit levels.
Yes. Your plasma donation is performed in a highly controlled, sterile environment by professionally trained medical staff. All plasma collection equipment that comes into contact with you is used only once to eliminate the possibility of transmitting viral infections.
Most people compare the feeling of the needle to a mild bee sting. You will also be required to have a finger stick test each time you donate so the collection center medical staff can evaluate your protein and hemoglobin levels.
Your first donation will take approximately two hours. Return visits on average take about 90 minutes.
Donating plasma is similar to giving blood. A needle is placed into a vein in your arm. Plasma is collected through a process called plasmapheresis and is conducted in cycles that may take up to an hour. Whole blood is drawn, then the plasma is separated from the red blood cells and other cellular components. These cells are returned to your body with sterile saline solution to help the body replace the plasma removed from the whole blood.
Return donors will make between $50-$60 per donation.
